Racing into Leadership

Registration

  • Registration is now open for all schools until October 7th at 4:30 pm CST/5:30 pm EST​​

  • Late registration will run from the close of regular registration until October 14th at 4:30 pm CST/5:30 pm EST

    • Late registration will incur a $15 per delegate​

    • Cancellation is not an option for late registration

  • The registration cap is 8 delegates and 2 advisors for each institution

  • If your institution is bidding for Program of the Year or the 2020 Regional Leadership Conference, the cap is 10 delegates and 2 advisors 

  • Substitute delegates

    • Opposite-gender sub​s will be accepted until 4:30 pm CST/5:30 pm EST on October 14th

    • Same-gender substitutions will be accepted until 4:30 pm CST/5:30 pm on October 21st

    • To request a substitution, the sub must fill out the registration form and email msu.register@gmail.com explaining the change

  • Registration Maximum Costs (final cost will be dependent on the number of registrations):

    • Delegates- $178

    • Advisors- $292

    • Advisor single- $407

  • Please note: institutions will be held liable for the cost of all registered delegates following the cancellation deadline above

  • Educational session applications will be accepted until October 14th at 4:30 pm CST/5:30 pm EST

  • Educational session presenters will be notified by 11:59 pm CST on October 16th

Dining

  • Friday dinner is an opt-in cost of $10.50 per delegate

  • Lunch on Saturday will be held in Winslow Dining Hall

  • Breakfast for Saturday and Sunday will be in the hotels

  • Banquet menu is on its way!

Case Study Competition

Philanthropy

  • We will be working with the SAACURH Regional Philanthropy, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for pre-conference activities

  • On-campus philanthropy will be Lotus, an organization that advocates against sexual assault and child abuse. Learn more at www.hopehealgrow.org

Things to review

Lodging 

SpringHill (1512 N 12th St, Murray, KY 42071)

  • Breakfast will be served on both Saturday and Sunday

  • The NACURH Corporate Office swag shop will be in this hotel as well

Holiday Inn Express (1504 N 12th St, Murray, KY 42071)

  • Breakfast will be served on both Saturday and Sunday

  • Shares a parking lot with SpringHill for easy access

Transportation

  • If you are flying, fly into Nashville Airport (BNA)

    • If possible, please book flights to arrive by 1:30 CST on Friday 

    • Murray State representatives will be present to direct you and shuttle you from the airport to campus (approximately 2 hour drive)

  • If you are driving, check-in for everyone will be at the SpringHill Hotel

    • Visitor parking on Murray State's campus will be free for the weekend

    • There will be shuttles between the hotels and campus or you may drive your delegation

  • ADA accessible golf carts will transport people to and from programming locations.

  • Rental vans will be offered to pick delegations up from the airport as they arrive.

 

After registration, your NCC will be contacted directly to collect travel information and answer questions!

Bid Submissions:

  • To submit a bid, attach it to an email in .pdf form to CO-NBD Gia Rivellini at sa_bidding@nacurh.org.

  • The bid file names should be in the following formats- SchoolBidding_BidCategory.pdf

Spirit

Roll Call 

  • Roll Call will take place at the first mass gathering on Friday, October 25th.

  • Each school will have the chance to submit a short video (song, skit, dance, etc) or pictures that represent their school and the conference theme.

  • Videos must be within 30-45 seconds.

  • We’ll create a montage video to be played during opening ceremonies!

  • Submissions must be submitted to the conference spirit chair by October 21st at 11:59pm. Scripts or videos can be sent by email in PDF or .mov format to msu.rlcspirit@gmail.com

  • Judging for the videos will be based on the following criteria

    • Participation: 5 points

    • University/Region Pride: 15 points

    • Correct video format and time length: 5 points

    • Creativity & Originality: 25 points

    • Best incorporation of Conference Theme: 20 points

    • Submitted on time: 5 points

  • Top Three receive

    • 1st Place: 100 Points

    • 2nd Place: 75 Points

    • 3rd Place: 50 Points

 

Banner

  • Show off your school’s spirit with a banner showcasing your Race into Leadership!

  • All banners must be submitted by Oct 21st at 11:59 pm Central. By emailing it to msu.rlcspirit@gmail.com.

  • Judging will be based on:

    • Participation: 5 points

    • Creativity & Originality: 15 points

    • Incorporates the Conference Theme: 15 points

    • Follows guidelines: 5 points

    • School Representation: 15 points

    • Submitted on Time: 5 points

  • Top Three receive:

    • 1st Place: 100 Points

    • 2nd Place: 75 Points

    • 3rd Place: 50 Points
