SAACURH Spotlight
In an attempt to increase regional pride and spirit through our pillar of Recognition, the NRHH Committee has chose to launch “The SAACURH Spotlight” initiative. Regional members can submit someone from their RHA or NRHH chapters for one of the following categories. From there, members of the NRHH Committee will vote, and design a graphic to be posted to the Instagram page showcasing these folks. An additional goal of this is to also highlight and showcase some of our bid
categories more frequently to the region in a more concise and engaging way.

Category & Descriptions
NRHH Member of the Month
The NRHH Member of the Month should highlight a member of your NRHH chapter that has made an impact on your school, SAACURH, or NACURH within the past month. The nominee should embody the pillars of leadership, service,
and recognition. The nominee can be a general member or an executive member.
RHA Member of the Month
The RHA Member of the Month should highlight a member of your RHA organization that has made a significant impact on your institution, SAACURH, or NACURH within the past month. The nominee should be someone that has been a star representative of your RHA’s core values and has shown sound commitment to RHA, through leadership, service, involvement, integrity, dedication, and their contributions. The nominee can be a general member of RHA, or an RHA executive member.
First Year Student
The First Year Student of the Month should highlight a first year student that has made outstanding contributions to University Housing within the last month. The nominee should be someone that has positively impacted their community within the residence halls through compassion, dedication, commitment, and leadership. The nominee has to be a first year student that has made contributions to University Housing and the residence halls.
Student of the Month
The Student of the Month should highlight a student on your campus that has made an impact on SAACURH or NACURH within the past month. The nominee should be a member of your campus RHA or NRHH organizations. The nominee cannot have served as the NCC, NRHH Representative, or RHA President within the past month.
Initiative/Program
The Initiative or Program of the Month should highlight a student initiated commitment (advocacy, DEI, sustainability) or program (recognition, service, passive, active, educational) that influenced one or more of the following: increased safety, awareness, acceptance, or contribution on a campus or community-wide level.
Staff Member
The Staff Member of the Month should highlight an advisor, faculty, or full-time staff employee for their outstanding service and/or impact towards the residential experience. The nominee must be classified as “staff” and/or “faculty” by your on- campus housing department.
